Niss on Someday #4

Missed so many Sundays that it is no longer appropriate to maintain the original post title, but I think I have come up with something which works quite well. [Niss slaps self on back.] My work is done, so I'll catch you next time I get the chance to post!

But, before I go, for those who want an update on the non-baby stuff....still no new house with enough space for the shoes and handbags or for me to fail to grow strawberries in the back garden, but we are still looking. We saw one house which even the crooked man (famous for walking a crooked mile) turned down, and not because it was too small! And then we decided to revisit a house we saw very early on in our search, but we'd initially discounted. Why had we scratched it from our list you ask...well perhaps it will become clear when I quote the estate agent "we call it the smelly house". Now I know everyone says you need to look beyond the furniture when viewing a house, but this was difficult, and we thought as a project it was the wrong time for us to take on such a house. However, given time to marinade and with the benefit of 20:20 hindsight provided by viewing a heap of heaps(!) it reappeared in my thoughts. But when we did decide to go and see it again, with the intention to put in a low, but realistic offer, we found that the credit crunch has decided to get involved in our affairs. So much for waiting for invites! Anyway, the poor vendor had defaulted and the place has been repossessed and taken off the market! Damned shame. But to quote the great man, the place of our dreams is "just around the corner".

The next few weeks wil not see us viewing many more places as our attention is increasingly on the bump and when it will turn into a flat tum and a ball of joy in the outside world!

Good luck with the searching of your new home. But as you say in your post, in 5 days you will have other things to worry about!
Love,
Mónica

Já nasceu! Novas aventuras, mais barulho, mais confusão lá em casa! Enfim, nada a que uma mulher de S. Mamede Infesta não esteja habituada...
Felicidades para os três aventureiros!
