So, what should I post on tonight?
Oh yes. I is a Daddy!
Becoming a dad in these modern times is not like it was a few decades ago...no sirree no. You don't get to sit in a comfy waiting room with other imminent dads talking about last night's game of footy and chugging on a cohiba. No. The modern imminent dad has to be present at the actual birth. No ifs or buts you've got to be in there willing your partner to breathe...don't push...try not to break my fingers...breathe...still don't push...keep the noise down...breathe...and PUSH! PUSH! PUSH!...and behold your beautiful baby boy...a Thilan if ever I saw one. Please note that the bit before you get to beholding a beautiful baby can be quite long - by which I mean the time it would take you to read a book - War and Peace rather than The Gruffalo!
And to be honest I wouldn't have missed it - not even to watch Liverpool beat Manchester United from the Kop end! It would have been a huge mistake to miss seeing Thilan take his first breaths.
But that was one month ago and Thilan's changed a little every day. One thing that hasn't change from day 1 is his apparent distaste for sleeping whilst the big(ger) people might be eating dinner. Thilan is a soul with a sense of mischief that makes him need to be present whilst we eat, so that, even though he's likely to be desperately trying to stop his tiredness closing his eyes, he can watch one of us try to cut up a steak or some suchlike with only one free hand! I can't wait to see what he gets up to when he bores of that game!

It was really a long time suffering but I think that Thilan is so beautiful that dad can forget the day and the night waiting the birth. It´s true that Thilan like very much cry when he is alone and it's true that the daddy doesn´t like let him cry and we can see the little baby very happy in the hands of his father when he dances around de room!... And the little knows the power he has. You must be careful if you don´t want became a slave.
But it´s true this daddy knows everything from babby and like we say in Portugal "tem muito jeitinho"! Wonderful daddy.
